We all often have an endless list of to do.
There’s always so much tasks in life.
The to do list is the trusty screwdriver in the tool kit of any professional today.
But the calendar app has quickly, and certainly been picked up by many people as the fearless replacement of the to do list.
Why?
Because to do list, don’t recognize the constraint of our limited time, whilst calendars do.
As Sam Corcos, founder of levels says in the Tim Ferris podcast: A to do list can be infinite, a calendar can only take up as much time as you have available.
Try to start using your calendar as your to do list instead, blocking out time necessary for each task in priority order.
Also, make sure to block out empty time because the day’s agenda most times can be imposed on your own.
The good thing about a calendar versus a to do list is through restriction and priority. It also forces a not to do list on you because of your limited time.
The not to do list was the term popularized by Warren Buffett to keep focused.
Over time we will see if the calendar overtakes the to do list.
